Banderbear please help

Hey Banderbear,

I have been trying to post comments to several of the entries with no success. While searching the help forum I found a possible reason for my troubles. The trouble may be with the settings that were first established for the blog. When you get a chance could you please try changing the settings on the blog management page. On that page, click on settings, then click on comments. On that page you will see a section that says comment form placement. Will you please try changing that from embedded below post to pop-up window. I believe that might solve my problem as it seems some browsers don't like that embedded below post. Thanks for helping, talk to you soon.

Not anything to do with Neanderthals, but...

I know it has pretty much no impact on the Nearderthals, but I would like to announce proudly that I ran my first 5k today, the Jingle Bell Run. It was very fun and I recommend it to you all in coming years. I got a start that was way too fast and fell back, but I managed to have a spurt at the end, giving me a very respectable time of 24 minutes, translating to about 7:50 per mile, which is pretty good. I am very happy with my time, especially because of two things:
1. This was my first 5k ever.
2. I had absolutely no training, I just decided to run it randomly.
P.S. My number was super lucky. There were 13,000 people there and I happened to get the number 500 from sheer luck.

Anybody out there?

Hey Y'all,

I've only heard from one person with a suggestion for a museum that you would like to visit this Saturday after we volunteer at the food bank. It could be in your best interest to make a suggestion or else be subject to my eccentric whims, muahahahahahahah!. We could end up at the tree museum or the EMP or the garden gnome museum. It would be great to get your input and to hear from you. This is your chance to speak your mind, let your thoughts be heard.

What are your thoughts on this Avatar movie that I have seen a trailer for recently. It looks kind of cool. Is it based on a book? Let me know!

My Friend Has Cancer!

A couple weeks ago we, meaning my synagog, found out that my friend from synagog, Sara, got diagnosed with Non Hoskins Lymphoma. A type of cancer. She is on chemo( chemotherapy). She might lose her hair and she can't be with friends. Chemo will kill cancerous cells and healthy cells too. So she isn't immune to viruses like we are. Chemo will also last for about 6 months. I hope the cancer will not return when she is done with her 6 months of chemo.

AWESOME BOOK!!!!

In class i am reading an AWESOME BOOK!!! it's called Maximum Ride and it p0wns. The plot sounds kinda dumb when i try to explain it but i will say it's awesome. I started reading it today and read the first three hundred pages. I would say this is 6 out of 5 stars!!!
and Jacob told me to post my candy strategy which i will say i have never tried. I got it from a book called Jennifer Hecaty Macbeth William Mcinley and Me, Elizabeth.
Basically what you do is ask for a drink of water and when you are offered candy just insist on water. Then drop a bag you have emptied beforehand and when the people at the house insist to give you candy, agree.
